Plain-language summary
After your consent, Huawei Wear Engine carries guidance, map images and route-position information from the paired phone to the watch. Location and guidance are processed in memory; map images are temporary app-private files. Consent, display and vibration preferences, and a basic device display profile are stored locally.
Key points
Location-based viewing — The phone provides navigation and map data; the watch app displays them on the watch after consent.

The watch app has its own, limited watch-side processing scope. The G Navigation phone policy describes the data processed by the phone app when you use maps and navigation: view the G Navigation phone policy.
Data the watch app processes
The phone supplies location-derived information, including map anchor and current-position coordinates, heading, route images, street names, distances and arrival information. This can reveal your location and journey context even though the watch app does not request the watch GPS permission. This personal information is used to provide the navigation display.
| Information | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Guidance, position and session data | Display and align the route map, turn instructions and arrival information; coordinate the active session. | Processed in RAM for the current session; not saved as a journey history. |
| Map images and transferred guidance icons | Render content supplied by the paired phone. | Stored temporarily in private app storage to display guidance. You can remove this data by clearing app data (where supported) or uninstalling the app. |
| Display and vibration preferences | Remember text size, colours, layout, map presentation, wrist side and vibration choices. | Stored locally until changed, app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled. |
| Consent marker | Remember acceptance of the watch privacy notice. | Stored locally until app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled. |
| Device display profile and system language | Adapt the interface to the watch; support compatible display and connection behaviour. | Screen dimensions, shape, model and API version are cached locally. System language is read for interface selection. The cache is removed with app data or uninstall. |
The watch app does not read the watch GPS, health data, contacts, call logs, microphone, camera, photos or personal files. It has no watch-side account, advertising identifier, advertising, analytics or generative AI service. It does process the location-related content received from the phone.
Device permissions and consent condition
The watch app's HAP declares no reqPermissions system permission. It does not request location, health, sensor, contact, notification, microphone, camera, photo, or file access.
- Before you select Agree, the watch app displays the privacy notice only and does not register a Huawei Wear Engine P2P receiver.
- After you agree, the watch app stores the local consent marker and handshakes only with the configured package and certificate identity of
com.gnavigation.mobile. - Selecting Cancel exits before the P2P channel is registered. Ending navigation or closing the watch app stops guidance display.
Sharing and platform services
The watch app does not send guidance to a developer-operated server, sell data, or share data with advertising networks or data brokers. It contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDK.
Guidance travels through Huawei Wear Engine between the paired phone and watch. Huawei operates that platform service under Huawei's own terms and policies; the watch app uses it only as a P2P channel with the authenticated G Navigation phone app. The watch app does not itself make HTTP requests or network connections to our servers.
The watch app sends its basic device display profile (screen dimensions, shape, model and API version), app/protocol version and connection acknowledgements to G Navigation on the paired phone through Huawei Wear Engine. The phone uses this information to prepare compatible navigation content and manage the connection.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
You can decline the initial notice before the P2P receiver is registered. To stop guidance, end navigation on the phone or close the watch app. To remove consent, saved preferences, the device cache and any remaining temporary files, clear app data where supported or uninstall the watch app. There is no separate in-app consent-withdrawal button. Phone-side data and permissions are managed separately in the G Navigation phone app.
The watch app does not upload your journey to a developer-operated server. For access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests, contact hng89tn@gmail.com; explain which app and device are involved. We can explain local deletion steps, but cannot retrieve watch-only data from a server.
